This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information that is Processed by Sustainable Roots in the course of our business, including on HMade Collective websites (each a “Site”), mobile applications, forums, blogs, and other online or offline offerings (together with any and all future online and offline offerings operated by or on behalf of Sustainable Roots, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through our Services. All individuals whose responsibilities include the Processing of Personal Information on behalf of Sustainable Roots are expected to protect that data by adherence to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is intended to meet requirements globally, including those in India, North America, Europe, APAC and other jurisdictions.

 

HMade Collective and www.hmade-collective.com are both properties of Sustainable Roots, Proprietor, established under the laws of India, having its registered office at Proprietor, Delhi-110075. 

 

3. Transparency/Notice : Type of Personal Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of the Services (including your Account, if you are an Account holder), and to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate our Services. The types of Personal Information we may collect (directly from you or from Third-Party sources) and our privacy practices depend on the nature of the relationship you have with Sustainable Roots and the requirements of applicable law. Some of the ways that Sustainable Roots may collect Personal Information include:

  • You may provide Personal Information directly to Sustainable Roots through interacting with the Services, making online or in-store purchases, participating in surveys, during events such as sweepstakes, and requesting Services or information.

We might collect your billing name, billing address and payment method when you buy a product. We NEVER collect your credit card number or credit card expiry date or other details pertaining to your credit card on our website. Credit card information will be obtained and processed by our online payment partners PayPal and Citrus Payments.

We collect information you post in a public space on our Sustainable Roots Platform or on a third-party social media site belonging to Sustainable Roots.

Our Ad Services collect growing information including, without limitation, you Internet Protocol (IP) address and location, your login information, browser type and version, date and time stamp, user agent, Sustainable Roots cookie ID (if applicable), time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other information about user activities on the Sustainable Roots Platform as well as on third party sites and services that have embedded our Pixels, widgets plug-ins, buttons, or related services.

 

3.1.5 Transaction Information:

We collect transaction details related to your use of our Services, and information about your activity on the Services, including the full Uniform Resource Locators(URL), the type of Services you requested or provided, comments, domain names, search results selected, number of clicks, information and pages viewed and searched for, the order of those pages, length of your visit to our Services, the date and time you used the Services, amount charged, details regarding application of promotional code, methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number and other related transaction details.

We may collect demographic information about you, events you like, events you intend to participate in, tickets you buy, or any other information provided by you during the use of Sustainable Roots Platform. We might collect this as a part of survey also.

We analyze the log files of our Sustainable Roots Platform that may contain Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browse type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring, app crashes, page viewed and exit websites and applications, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. This helps us to administer the website, to learn about user behavior on the site, to improve our product and services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We may work with third parties such as network advertisers to serve advertisements on the Sustainable Roots Platform and on third party websites or other media(e.g., social networking platforms). These third parties may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs). Flash LSOs and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content to you. 

 

While you cannot opt out of advertising on the Sustainable Roots Platform, you may opt out of much interest-based advertising on third party sites and through third party ad networks (including DoubleClick Ad Exchange, Facebook Audience Network and Google AdSense). Opting out means that you will no longer receive personalized ads by third partied ad networks from which you have opted out, which is based on your browsing information across multiple sites and online services. 5.3 We will share information with our business partners

This includes a third party who provide us various services. Our partners use the informations we give them as described in their privacy policies. 

 

While you place a request to order through the Sustainable Roots Platform, your information is provided to us and to the vendors with whom you may choose to order. In order to facilitate your online order processing, we provide your information to those vendors in similar manner as if you had made a goods/products/food order directly with vendors. If you provide a mobile phone number, Sustainable Roots may send you text messages regarding the order’s delivery status.

 

5.4 We will share information with Other Users

If you a re a delivery partner, we may share your name, phone number and/or profile picture (if applicable), tracking details with other users to provide them the Services. 

 

5.5 We will share information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law or to protect ourselves.

 

We may also share it if a government agency or investigatory body or other companies assisting us, requests when we are:

  • Obligated under the applicable laws or in good faith to respond to court orders and processes; or Detecting and preventing against actual or potential occurrence of identity theft, fraud, abuse of Services and other illegal acts.

For example, if part of our business is old we may give our customer list as part of that transaction. We may also share your information with present or future member of our “Group”(as defined above) or affiliates for our internal business purposes.

We may share your  information other than as described in this Policy if we notify you and you consent to the sharing. We will tell you before we do this. 

 

6. Third Party Sites

The Sustainable Roots Platform may contain links to other websites. If you click on one of the links to third party websites, you may be taken to websites we do not control. Any personal information about you collected whilst visiting such websites is not governed by this Policy. Sustainable Roots shall not be responsible for and has no control over the practices and content of any website accessed using the links contain on the Sustainable Roots Platform. Read the privacy policy of other websites. We are not responsible for these third party sites. 

This Policy shall also not apply to any information you may disclose to any of our service providers/service personnel which we do not require you to disclose to us or any of our service providers under this Policy. 

 

7. Your Consent

By using the Sustainable Roots Platform and the Services provided therein, you agree and consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, disclosure and sharing of your information as described and collected by us in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with the Policy, please do not use or access the Sustainable Roots Platform. 

 

 

8. Opt-Out (RIGHT TO RESTRICT PROCESSING)

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information, and we’ll respect the choices you make. Please note that if you decide not to provide us with the Personal Information that we request, you may not be able to access all of the features of the Services. Where you have consented to Sustainable Root’s Processing of your Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information, you may withdraw that consent at any time and opt out of further Processing by contacting contact@hmade-collective.com. Even if you opt out, we may still collect and use non-Personal Information regarding your activities on our Sites and/or information from the advertisements on Third-Party websites for non-interest based advertising purposes, such as to determine the effectiveness of the advertisements.

 

8.2 Email and Telephone Communications

If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt out of receiving future emails. We will process your request within a reasonable time after receipt. Note that you will continue to receive transaction-related emails regarding products or services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding Sustainable Roots and our Services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy).

 

We maintain telephone “do-not-call” and “do-not-mail” lists as mandated by law. We process requests to be placed on do-not-mail, do-not-phone and do-not-contact lists within 60 days after receipt, or such shorter time as may be required by law.

Sustainable Roots may occasionally send you push notifications through our mobile applications with notices that may be of interest to you. Sustainable Roots may also collect location-based information if you use our mobile applications. You may opt-out of this collection by changing the settings on your mobile device.

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.

As noted above, you may stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer or remove them from your browser by adjusting your web browser preferences. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, on many mobile devices, application users may opt out of certain mobile ads via their device settings.

To be clear, whether you are using our opt-out or an online industry opt-out, these cookie-based opt-outs must be performed on each device and browser that you wish to have opted out. For example, if you have opted out on your computer browser, that opt out will not be effective on your mobile device. You must separately opt out on each device. Advertisements on Third-Party websites that contain the AdChoices link and that link to this Privacy Policy may have been directed to you based on anonymous, non-Personal Information collected by advertising partners over time and across websites. These advertisements provide a mechanism to opt out of the advertising partners’ use of this information for interest-based advertising purposes.

 

9. Rights of Access, Rectification, Erasure, and Restriction

You may inquire as to whether Sustainable Roots is Processing Personal Information about you, request access to Personal Information, and ask that we correct, amend or delete your Personal Information where it is inaccurate. Where otherwise permitted by applicable law, you may send an email to contact@hmade-collective.com or use any of the methods set out in this Privacy Policy to request access to, receive (port), seek rectification, or request erasure of Personal Information held about you by Sustainable Roots. Please include your full name, email address associated with your Account, and a detailed description of your data request. Such requests will be processed in line with local laws.

Although Sustainable Roots makes good faith efforts to provide Individuals with access to their Personal Information, there may be circumstances in which Sustainable Roots is unable to provide access, including but not limited to: where the information contains legal privilege, would compromise others’ privacy or other legitimate rights, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the Individual’s privacy in the case in question or where it is commercially proprietary. If Sustainable Roots determines that access should be restricted in any particular instance, we will provide you with an explanation of why that determination has been made and a contact point for any further inquiries. 10. Data Security Precautions

We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to secure the information collected by us. We use vault and tokenization services from third party service providers to protect the sensitive personal information provided by you. The third party service providers with respect to our vault and tokenization services and our payment gateway and payment processing are compliant with the payment card industry standard (generally referred to as PCI complaint service providers). You are advised not to send your full credit/debit card details through unencrypted electronic platforms. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a username and password which enables you to access certain parts of the Sustainable Roots Platform, you are responsible for keeping these details confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Please be aware that the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through the Sustainable Roots Platform.
