COVID Relief
We have all reeled under the constant resurgence of COVID-19, India - the entire sub-continent has taken a shock, unlike any other country. With the country's health infrastructure being aggressively overwhelmed, NGOs, citizen groups and volunteers have stepped up their efforts, bringing together all their resources. As the scale of the pandemic continues to grow, we seek your support for these organisations, as they are working day and night to provide medical relief to patients and support to the less fortunate, whose daily livelihood has been swiftly eliminated.

We have curated a list of organisations, we are currently either closely working with, or recommend based on first hand knowledge of their presence on ground zero. Please support in whatever capacity you wish to contribute. All the contributions can be directly made to these NGO's.

Khalsa Aid International is a UK-based humanitarian relief charity (Registered Charity Number: 1163294) providing support around the world to victims of natural and man-made disasters such as floods, earthquakes, famine and war.We are currently witnessing a humanitarian crisis in India of proportions never witnessed before as medical infrastructure is buckling under the pressure of the global pandemic.
We are currently supporting medical networks across India, comprising of established medical organisations, facilities and NGO’s who are working on the ground to assist COVID-19 patients.

Hemkunt Foundation is a non-government organisation that aims to provide humanitarian aid to marginalized sections of society. The organisation is based upon the most popular Sikh principle of ‘Sarbat Da Bhalla’ which means welfare for all. While the efforts of Hemkunt Foundation are in tandem with its principle, it continues to provide livelihoods, disaster relief, access to basic human rights and education to all.

We understand this can easily overwhelm anyone, to assess how and where my donations are going and who is benefitting from the same. Below we have mentioned some of organisations that are verified and are presently involved in doing rigorous relief work. Goonj aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance and dignity between the cities and villages using the under-utilized urban material as a tool to trigger development with dignity, across the country.
With the country in the throes of the second wave of COVID, amidst rising incidences of vitality that's plaguing the nation, we as a nation are in grim shape. GOONJ with it's well equipped team, and wealth of experience is reaching out to our communities in a timely manner, keeping the COVID guidelines in mind.

A couple of us (SRCC alumni, ex-consultants) have collaborated with Kailash Sathyarthi Children's Foundation for a fund collection drive for supporting orphaned children who have lost both their parents to COVID-19.
The Foundation has already identified 22 such instances through their national helpline. We expect to support the education of 80 kids for one year in the first phase and we will expand the coverage based on funds raised. While the foundation will take care/identify NGOs who will take care of food, shelter, and other necessities of the children, the funds raised here will be used to ensure good education and development for these kids. We intend to conduct such annual campaigns to cover education costs till they reach the age of 18.

We will purchase and distribute oxygen concentrators to hospitals and patients as required with our logistics partner Delhivery.Last year, in our Feed the Daily Wager endeavour to help the country, we distributed 78 million meals for free to the poor who had lost access to their livelihoods and saved them from the adversities arising out of hunger.

Feeding From Far is an initiative that has been feeding the poor and unemployed who are struggling to feed themselves during the lockdown. We managed to distributed over 17 lakh meals to the needy since the first lockdown hit through cooked meals and ration kits.Since the first lockdown, we have been taking care of over 7,000 families in the largest & oldest waste dumping ground and slum in Mumbai - Govandi. Since most residents of Govandi are migrants, daily wage workers, rickshaw drivers, rag pickers etc.- they are all unemployed and unable to afford basic food at the moment.
We're expanding our efforts as it's the need of the hour. Because as the lockdown persists, so does their hunger. Please keep supporting and help us feed those who can't feed themselves.
While our attention is on the COVID battle raging in cities, in small-town and rural India help is almost non-existent. While bigger NGOs are better positioned to get your help, Agami is focusing on the thousands of smaller local initiatives.
The ‘Rural Response App’ lists local organisations, initiatives and individuals whose relief efforts in small towns and villages need urgent support. From oxygen supply to food delivery to vaccine support, these are people whose work is now critical.
